'Sekolah Tinggi Arab Hassanal Bolkiah' held a Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony to commemorate the name change from 'Hassanal Bolkiah Boys Arabic Secondary School' to its new official name. The event held at the said school, 18th November morning, was as a sign of gratitude and hope to seek blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. The event included the reading of Tahlil and Doa for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien; Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim.

It ran concurrently with the inauguration of the madrasah's new logo and the launch of 'Menyingkap Kenangan, Meniti Sejarah' Book. Also present, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
